The TurboCast system on a strong graphite back will match up with 2.4 to 3.2m rods with lighter action. A well shaped injection moulded fibre glass spool gives great casts. 55GCT has a non-reverse action controlled by a switch on the back of the reel and also has a smooth multi-plate clutch.
A sporty laser cut handle plate adds to the modern look of the reel. This reel sits off the rod slightly more than a normal reel allowing better line flow and increased casting distance. The smooth clutch is a multi-plate design with polished brass plates combined with PTFE coated woven glass washer which can also withstand very high temperatures.
A fish alert switch on the back side of the reel can be engaged when leaving the rod and reel unattended to warn you of a fish taking line.
