Tenterfield Lures constructed the Aussie for the Bi-Centenary back in 88 and the lure has endured, not through patriotism but through its consistent performance catching great Aussie species such as the famous Murray Cod and our poster boy of Aussie sports fishing, the Barramundi.

The Aussie 200 Lure can be cast or trolled. It runs do a depth 4 meters and over and its larger size makes it ideal for targeting or larger species. The wide swaying action is brilliant. Trolled at a moderate pace along the banks of the Vic or Daley, you can expect a lot of attention from aggressive Barramundi, in fact it’s an ideal shape for our most famous northern predator. Cast it at big snags like fallen trees and the like to draw your Barra from its ambush position. Even in the dry when the Barra are a little sluggish and not so hungry, a Jaz Aussie 200 Lure will be attacked simply for intruding on the Personnel space of a resting Barramundi.

Murray Cod should be approached in a similar way. Cast to banks and deeper holes to find the bigger fish. Kayak anglers will have plenty of access to the deeper holes protected by overhanging trees that make casting from the banks impossible. Murray cod are waiting here for meal that may appear from the trees, such as frogs and cicadas etc. As the Jaz is swimming deeper in the water column your will be working your Jaz right past his nose.
