Description

The mullet pattern is dynamite for all types of predatory species in both shallow and mid depth water.

It swims with a wide pulsing tail action that will send vibrations over long distances. Ideal for mulloway and other large predators.

This profile has been tested thoroughly and is the perfect live bait alternative to a live mullet. It comes in yellow eye and bully mullet colours.

Bully – Bully mullet or sea mullet are a staple bait for large predators like mulloway and flathead.

Yellow Eye – Yellow eye mullet are prolific around the southern half of the state and a key baitfish in all waterways. An inshore baitfish, they are deadly in the estuary for bait.

About the lure:

Atomic Real Baitz are a pre-rigged plastic construction with a soft life-like feel and appearance. They feature precise anatomical features of species down to colours and lure action. They are weighted just right to ensure the lure sinks horizontally with downward swimming angle on the drop. Real Baitz can be fished similar to soft plastics and will respond well to rod lifts or even a slow burn back to the anglers. Tested on inshore north coast reefs, in the estuaries and in northern QLD impoundments, the lures have proven themselves on mulloway, snapper, barramundi and reef species such as coral trout. Available in a range of species, sizes and colours.

How To Use:

• In the smaller sizes you can use 10-20lb outfits. The larger sizes will need 20-40lb tackle for the 180mm model and we recommend a dedicated swimbait rod for the 250mm model due primarily to its weight. Braided lines with a flouro leader will be best.
• Use a loop knot for the best action. It allows the lure to swim freely.
• Target rock wall edges, flats with weed beds and deeper water. Use a very slow wind retrieve for amazing results.
• This lure in all weights casts well and will give you a long cast and cover lots of ground.
• Use this lure offshore by allowing it to sink. Snapper love a slow sinking presentation and will definitely hit this lure.
• Vary your retrieve slightly by adding in a downward pull of the rod tip causing the lure to accelerate, then decelerate.
